Writers' Center Tips for Writers: an Online Resource

These webpages provide writing support that's designed specifically for Eastern students. Take a look and let us know what else you'd like to see!

Other Resources

Purdue OWL

The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University houses writing resources and instructional material. Students, members of the community, and users worldwide will find information to assist with many writing projects.

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

UNC offers handouts and videos on a wide range of writing topics and issues. Though the handouts are a little dense, they're very thorough, and the video tutorials are helpful as well.

EWU Library

As you begin your research process, take advantage of the library's databases and books. Reference librarians can point you in the right direction and are available 24 hours a day through online chat.

Google Scholar Online Journal Articles

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. A great option in addition to the library databases to search for scholarly sources.

Writers' Center Books

The Writers' Center has a library of resources that are free for you to borrow and use in the Learning Commons. We have MLA, APA, and Chicago manuals; writing and grammar handbooks; resume and cover letter books; GRE prep materials; and more! If there's a book you'd like to have us add to the library, let us know.
