The Revision Process

Making Your Writing More Effective

During this workshop, students will be introduced to three useful strategies for polishing and perfecting an academic paper: revising, editing, and proofreading. They will practice each portion using sample paragraphs and their own work. This workshop is designed for undergraduate composition students but can be customized for any skill level or assignment.

Learning Objectives: For students to understand the difference between revising, editing, and proofreading and to develop the ability to apply these strategies to their own academic writing.

Special Requirements: Computer with projector

Location: The Writers' Center or classroom
