Attend New Student Orientation (New Fall Students Only)

Attend New Student Orientation and Welcome Week (NSO). You will learn about campus, meet people, and participate in fun activities. New Student Orientation is designed to acquaint new students with many of the aspects of campus life and the Cheney community. Many challenges lie ahead, and all new students should use this time to become familiar with campus and the many resources available.

Early in the quarter

Meet with your advisor

Remember to make your appointment early in the quarter to meet with your academic or departmental advisor.  Connect with your Academic Advisor (and find their contact information). Priority Registration for the next term begins the 7th week of the current term. Students with less than 45 earned credits must meet with their academic advisor prior to registering each quarter. Advisors' calendars typically fill quickly, so make sure to schedule your advising appointment early each quarter!

Take the Math Placement Test

If you have not taken the Math Placement Test yet, plan to take it ASAP! Check the Math Placement Test website for test dates, practice test and instructions.
