Abstract & Creative Works Description Information

  • Abstracts & creative works descriptions are limited to approximately 200 words (1100 characters). You do NOT need to include the title, author(s), mentor(s), and department in this word count--ONLY the abstract text. The title, author(s), mentor(s), and department are entered in separate fields on the submission form.
  • Creative works descriptions may be in the form of an "artist's statement" by providing your concept, ideas or process to assist the audience in understanding your work. If you will be presenting a piece that has not been developed at the time of your submission, your artist's statement may include your influences, the style of work you engage in, or the thematic focus that drives your work (e.g. personal experience, culture, social topic).
  • Abstracts & creative works descriptions must be submitted online.
