Q: When are parking lots monitored?
Lots 1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 14, 15, 17, and 18 are monitored Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. This also includes break periods such as Spring Break, Christmas Break, and Summer Break. Residential Hall lots RH 16 and 13 are monitored 7days per week, 24 hrs per day.Meters are monitored in all lots and on the streets Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with the exception of the parking meters inside the URC. These meters are monitored 7 days per week, 24 hrs per day. If you are unsure about meter operating hours, they will be posted on the dome of each meter.

All university housing lots as well as the residence hall Lots (RH and DH Lots) are monitored 24 hrs per day, 7 days per week. All vehicles parked in these lots must possess a valid permit.
Q: Is my permit valid in all of the EWU parking lots?
No, EWU permits are lot specific. Each permit is assigned to a specific lot. EWU disability permits are valid in all EWU parking lots.
Q: What are the enforcement times for the parking lots?
All lots are enforced Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm except RH, DH, AM, HH, and TH. These lots are enforced seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The meters at the University Recreation Center (URC) are enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week also.
Q: What are my payment options at Parking Services?
We accept Eagle Flex, MasterCard, Visa, check, and cash. Please ask about payroll deduction if you are an EWU staff member.
Q: Is my EWU permit valid at parking meters?
No, EWU permits are not valid at any parking meters. You must pay with coin at the meters or you may purchase a pre-paid meter key at the Parking Services office.
Q: Where can I park my motorcycle on campus?
5, 9, 10, 14 and 17 have specific areas designated for free motorcycle parking. If you park in a parking stall or at a parking meter you must have a valid permit or pay the parking meter, respectively.
Q: When do parking permits go on sale?
As a general rule, quarter permits go on sale the Friday before finals week for the following academic quarter. Annual permits become available on June 1st for the following academic year. For annual permit renewals you will be notified by mail of the sale dates.
Q: Do I need a parking permit if I am living in the dorms?
Yes.
Q: What if I have a parking permit and I sell or buy a vehicle?
Let Parking Services know you have changed or would like to add another vehicle to your parking permit at 509-359-PARK.
Q: What do I do if my parking lot is full and I have a parking permit?
Call Parking Services at 509-359-PARK and we will assist you with an alternate parking solution.
Q: What do I do if I have a Disability Placard?
You can park for free at parking meters on city streets or pay the parking meters in EWU campus lots. You may also purchase an EWU disability parking permit that allows you to park at all campus permitted lots.
Q: Can I sell or give my EWU parking permit to another student or employee?
No, parking permits are non-transferable.
