Radiation Safety
EWUs use of radiation is authorized by a license issued by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). The state's authority is derived from federal legislation and formal agreement between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, a federal agency and DOH. The University maintains a laboratory radioactive materials license. This license allows radionuclide possession and use as listed in the license. See the Radiation Safety Directive below for more information and procedures for use.
