Peer Health Educator Program Presentations

EWU’s Health, Wellness & Prevention Services along with our Peer Health Educators are proud to present health presentations for your residence hall, sorority, fraternity, club, organization, athletic group, or class . To request a presentation, please print and fill out our Peer Health Educator Program Request Form, at least 2 weeks prior to your request date and return to URC 201.

In addition to our topic areas below, we are more than happy to create a presentation on another health-related topic designed specifically for your group. Please allow us more than the required 2 week notice for presentations of this type of request.

Our alcohol presentations vary from trivia style programs, educational presentations, or interactive group discussions about standard serving sizes, blood alcohol content, Washington state laws, partying smart, alcohol poisoning, and low-risk drinking strategies.

Our sexual health education programs include interactive dialogue about safe sex, the hookup culture, contraceptives, and any questions you may have.

These various programs cover multiple topics within wellness. Trivia style programs will challenge your knowledge of BMI, food pyramid, food labels, and SMART goals, while educational programs will include dimensions of wellness, goal setting, campus resources, how to improve quality of sleep, and positive body image.

What is consent? Our programs will clearly define consent, prevention of sexual assault, bystander intervention, and enforce a campaign titled: Start by Believing; improving our personal response to those that have been sexually assaulted.

Our interactive presentation will challenge myth vs. fact surrounding marijuana and other drugs.

Protecting yourself from the cold and flu in a college setting can be tough, our presentation can help educate you on best practices to stay healthy, myths about the flu vaccine, and any questions you may have.

College can be overwhelming-our presentations will go over ways to cope and manage stress, improve time management, tackling test anxiety, and how to take care of yourself emotionally to be a happy and healthy student.

The signs of a healthy relationship will be discussed in this program, as well knowing how to recognize signs of an unhealthy relationship.

Take a look at our Program List for specific presentation titles and descriptions.
