What can I do with a major in ...?

Thinking about declaring your major and you're not sure how it translates to in the workplace? About to graduate with your degree and you're not sure how to use it?

Career Services and WOIS can help. The best resource is the new EWU Career Wiki. Find out more about what you can do with any given major and career resources that are regularly updated by a team of professionals.

Another useful resource is WOIS, a career assessment database, giving students and alumni the opportunity to take interest and skills assessments and to look up information on prospective careers. WOIS requires a site key for use by students or alumni. EWU Career Services does a subscription, log into your EagleAXIS account or contact the Career Services office for that number at 509-359-6365 or careers@ewu.edu.

  • WOIS Education Programs: Listing prospective majors alphabetically, linking to descriptions and potential career choices by educational program or majors.

  • WOIS Occupations: Listing prospective occupations alphabetically, linking to a summary of the occupation, working conditions and activities, skills and abilities, training or education needed, wages, employment outlook, and related occupations.

  • WOIS Assessment and Exploration Tools: Providing tools for interest and skills assessment and exploration of occupations, schools, and opportunities.

  • Also check out the "What Can I Do With This Major" information page.
