Undergraduate Studies

Students who have participated in the Running Start Program while in high school must apply to Eastern as incoming freshmen. In addition to meeting the freshman admission requirements, students must have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average for all college classwork.

Running Start students apply and transition to the university as incoming freshmen students in order to remain eligible for their full amount of financial aid. Students who have participated in Running Start somewhere other than EWU and are now transferring to EWU are required to attend Eastern's summer orientation program, FirstSTEP.

After being accepted to Eastern, students' college transcripts will be evaluated to determine class standing and class completion at Eastern. To gain a better understanding of what courses may transfer, refer to the Eastern Transfer Guide.
