Parking Services

 Welcome to Eastern Washington University!

The Parking Services office would like to welcome you to EWU's Campus. Our job is to facilitate parking for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We do this through the use of permit parking, meter parking, and special events parking.

All lots are pay to park except Lot 12 (above Roos Field) which is free. Each lot requires an individually purchased parking permit valid for the current quarter or academic year in session. One permit may be purchased per person. Each lot has an individual fee schedule. The prices and availability for each lot are posted in the Permit Section of this website.

News and Updated Information
Faculty and staff annual parking permit RENEWAL is May 6th  - May 31st.
General sale will start June 7th, 2013.
Your permit must be renewed in the Parking office located at 131 Tawanka, M-F 8:00 am - 4:45 pm.
Please bring any information about new cars and license plate numbers to update your account. If you choose payroll deduction we will have the needed forms available in the parking office.
For your convenience we are providing the permit rates for the next two years.

General sale for  Annual and Fall Qtr parking permit sales begin Friday June 7th, 2013.

-Permits are sold on a first come, first served basis. One permit per customer. Any and all outstanding fines must be satisfied to purchase a permit.

Guest Parking Options

If you are a guest and need day parking, you have the following options:

  • There is a free parking lot above the football stadium.
  • We have metered parking priced at .50 per hour in most campus locations.
  • You can also purchase a day permit, available for $5.00 per day, based on lot and space availability.
The City of Cheney has metered parking around the campus on the following streets: Washington, Elm, and 5th St. priced at .50 per hour. Violations at these meters are from the City of Cheney and their rates apply. (See City of Cheney website)
 

Riverpoint Parking (Spokane, WA)

While visiting campus, please utilize one of our metered parking spaces or contact Parking Services, (509)368-6999, rpparking@wsu.edu, in the South Campus Facility Building, west end behind the Bookie, daily visitor parking is sold by lot color, please contact their office for pricing. The facilities are maintained and provided by Washington State University.
