A: Most questions about the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program can be answered quickly by reading carefully through the EWU Pre-Nursing Blog.
Q: How can I schedule a meeting with a pre-nursing advisor?
A: General Undergraduate Academic Advising has two pre-nursing advisors. There are several things that must be completed before students may schedule an appointment to meet with a pre-nursing advisor:
- Read very carefully through the Pre-Nursing Blog to make sure you understand the prerequisite courses and admission requirements for this program and the high level of competitiveness that students must meet.
- Apply for admission as a new freshman, new transfer, new post bachelor student, or former student returning.
- Upon admission, confirm your intent to enroll and pay the New Student Enrollment Fee.
- Call General Undergraduate Academic Advising to schedule an appointment with a pre-nursing advisor: 509.359.2345.
Q: I want to register; what should I do?
A:

- If you have never attended EWU, you will need to apply as a new freshman, new transfer, or new-post bachelor's student through the EWU Office of Admissions.
- Upon admission, confirm your intent to enroll and pay the New Student Enrollment Fee.
- The next step is to make an appointment with an academic advisor or departmental advisor for academic advising and registration:
- Students with direct transfer degrees who know which major they would like to pursue should contact that department directly. Visit the department's website for the secretary's/main office phone number. Select your department from the list of programs available. You may also call the Campus Operator at 509.359.6200 for department contact information.
- Students with less than 1 year of transfer work and students who have not decided on a major will typically meet with an academic advisor in General Undergraduate Academic Advising; call 509.359.2345 to schedule your appointment with an advisor.
- Meet with your academic or departmental advisor, who will help you select classes and lift your new/returning student hold.
Q: Can you send me information about a particular major? What classes are required for my major?
A: Please visit the EWU Catalog online for specific information about your major of interest (departments are listed alphabetically). You may also find important information on the major department's website. Click here for a list of departments.
