First Year Experience
The Academic Success Center offers a comprehensive First Year Experience for students in the Eastern Advantage and TRiO Focus Programs. This is a structured year-long experience for selected First Generation (students whose parents have not earned a bachelors degree), new freshmen students. The program is designed to assist students in their transition from high school to college and promote individual success throughout participant's college career, ultimately leading each to graduate with a four-year degree.
The program's essential elements and services are:
- Supportive academic advising
- Academic support in study skills, reading, English and math
- Tutor support through one-on-one, online and group formats
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) assistance
- Scholarship assistance
- And much more!
